Posted by: admin on June 17th, 2013

A Mexico sleeve gastrectomy review shared through this video shows how happy an American resident is after the surgery. She is from Colorado and came to Tijuana for her gastric sleeve surgery. The surgeon’s expertise, nursing staff’s care, comfortable accommodation in Mexico and lot many Americans who were at the hospital for their surgery, reassured the decision and made her recommend it to others.

Watch her speak about the same in the following video.

Following is the video narration.

“Hello! I am from Colorado, United States and I just had the gastric sleeve surgery three days ago and once they pulled……out, I felt great. I was treated so well here. Although the nurses here were so wonderful Dr. Garcia, so wonderful, so nice, the hotel I stayed at was beautiful, just so well taken care of. And I definitely recommend anybody to come down here where whole bunch of Americans are here to have the surgery. When I got here I got to know a lot of people. We exchanged emails to stay in touch and talk about our experience later. So I highly recommend you come down here.”

Gastric Sleeve Surgery Video

Gastric Sleeve Surgery – It is the surgical removal of the greater part of an individual’s stomach, leaving behind a tube (or sleeve-like) section that has a much lesser capacity than the original stomach. The reduced capacity of the stomach causes the patient to feel full much sooner, which results in lesser consumption of food and lesser absorption of calories, which in turn brings about weight-loss.

It is also known as: Vertical sleeve gastrectomy or VSG, gastric sleeve resection, and more popularly, as sleeve gastrectomy.

Watch the gastric sleeve procedure video below to understand what actually happens in the surgery:

The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery has already given its green signal to Sleeve Gastrectomy as “a primary bariatric procedure and as a first stage procedure in high risk patients as part of a planned staged approach.”

While the capacity of the stomach is reduced by up to 85 percent in sleeve gastrectomy procedures, the anatomy of the digestive system of the patient is not altered much. However, patients considering sleeve surgery must note that nutritional deficiencies haven’t completely been ruled out.

A statement in the 2009 position paper from the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons, states: “Gastric sleeve patients may experience long-term nutritional deficiencies of certain nutrients, including vitamin B12 and iron, because so much of the stomach is removed.”

However, if you follow the doctor’s instructions well and are commit to follow the recommended diet and exercise program religiously, the surgery should bring out excellent results, like it has, for hundreds of our clients.

Infact, undergoing the surgery is not a shortcut to weight-loss; it is only the first step towards your weight reduction goals.
